I'm unable to duplicate your issues. I was able to create a button, assign a macro to the button, run the macro, save the document, close the document, click the button and observe that the macro worked as intended. I am on version 2.3.0 on Fedora 8 (Linux) but I'm not certain that it matters. I would like to point out that this is a mail list for users and it would be wrong to assume that reporting your problems here would be of much use. If you feel that the program doesn't operate as you expect, there is a web page to report that... http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html Please remember that this is free, open source software and the user is part of the software development and reporting to the link above is the only way you can be certain that your problems/expectations are going to be considered. This is unlike commercial/proprietary software that you are normally used to having.
