File - New - Database- Connect to an existing DB-Text-Next - Browse to your csv.
Unfortunately, when I browse to the .csv file the file is grayed out.
I guess this is the way it works - you do not select the file, but the folder with your .csv and when wizard completes you get all your txt files as tables.

Doesn't work. I can't find any way to get the .csv file into Base. I
created a new database in Base, then went to Open, but when I selected
the .csv file OOo opened it in Calc, not Base.

Can you give a step by step for how you did it? Like, starting from
launching the app (e.g., did you launch Base, Calc, what?). Then
exactly what did you do next? E.g., if in Base, did you click Create
New Database, Open Existing Database, or what?
1. Base
2. Connect to an existing DB-Text - Next
3. Browse to folder-OK - click "*.csv, setup separators - Next
4. Finish
5. Save
6. Tables. You should get your files as tables.
