I know that OO now can *export* to the (media)wiki format.
But I am not aware that it can import as well.
Does anybody know about that tool. Since there are real collaborative
tools within OO, that would be helpful.
thanks

Hi,
Actually there was some email exchanged on the extension-dev mailing
list today on that subject.

In future releases we will have a look on importing wiki text also but
it's not clear at the moment which way we want to go.
This is something a lot of us are very interested in.
There have been some attempts at creating a MediaWiki to ODT/XML
converter. There is one here:
http://svn.wikimedia.org/svnroot/mediawiki/trunk/wiki2xml/php/ (this is
the source tree) that almost works. I have it installed in a test Wiki
(it shows up as a new item in the Wiki Special pages menu) and have
tinkered a little with it. It works, but it is very rudimentary. You
can convert a single Wiki page or a set of Wiki pages to ODT and you do
get an ODT out of the process. It needs a fair bit of rework to make it
usable for everyday workflows though.
