I evidently didn't say it correctly at all. The issue is that I have a document, say somedocument.doc (in Word 97/XP format, not docx) on my Desktop. I click the document and ... OpenOffice.org opens with a new document, but does not load the document I double clicked. I can then go to File-Open and open it, but ... shouldn't the default be to load and open the document automatically when you click on it?
