[users] 2.4 and Leopard

I've tried OpenOffice 2.4 on iMac 24'', Leopard 10.5.2, latest X11. It 
does not start (after X11 has started fine), giving a timeout message. 
It does work on the same machine with the original Leopard installation 
from DVD. What's wrong?
