That's odd... Alt-Tab is the standard windows switcher in Gnome, KDE,
and KDE 4.1.3. Perhaps you configured Ctrl-Tab manually for some other
application/purpose?

Alt-Tab does indeed switch windows in KDE. Ctrl-Tab was set up to
switch desktops. My KDE configuration was "stock" as it came from
Slackware.
