Subject: [users] Calc question - Names.?
I have named ranges of cells in a bookkeeping spreadsheet: Date;
Transaction; Debit; Credit; Balance ... etc
Trouble is ... that I have selected the whole column, in each case, eg
from cell A1 in the Date column to cell A65536. I have a 'Report' page
where I can insert a start date (eg 1/7/07 - 1st July 08) and a finish
date (eg 30/6/08) and formulas will calculate various things I want,
between those dates. For example, I might want to know how much GST
(Goods & Services Tax - like VAT) I need to pay between 1/1/08 and
31/3/08, so I put in the dates and the GST (as well as all the other
parameters) are recalculated. Trouble is, with such big ranges of cells in
each Name, the recalculation takes too much time.
If the Name Date = A1:A65536, how can I edit that to be:
Date = A1:A3000?
I know how to Insert a Name, but I don't know how to go back and edit the
ranges I have previously specified.
I would appreciate your help.
Many thanks, James
