Hello guys & gals, I have a question regarding openvz and Fedora 16.
I have tested Fedora 16 Final Test Compose 2 with openvz RHEL 6 kernel and the boot fails. I was using the latest: - vzkernel-2.6.32-042stab039.5.x86_64 - systemd-37-2.fc16.x86_64. I've only been able to find the following post in regards to patching RHEL 6 kernel to work with systemd from Fedora 13, nothing more recent: http://www.mail-archive.com/systemd-devel@lists.freedesktop.org/msg03084.html So before pursuing this further, I'd like to ask whether openvz will support Fedora 16 with the current stable/testing kernel? Any ETA or work already done? I was unable to get the logs going so there isn't much to to go on right now (if needed, I can work on it further). I can see the following errors while booting: Starting System Logging Service failed, see 'systemctl status rsyslog.service' for details (then it continues and another error is among the messages:) Starting Login Service failed, see 'systemctl systemd-logind.service' for details (then it continues up to:) LSB: OpenVZ startup script. The boot process stops there and waits indefinitely. I'm aware that openvz team is concentrating on both improving the openvz RHEL 6 kernel and also submitting openvz patches to the upstream, so 3.x openvz kernel isn't to be expected soon. A RHEL 6 kernel compatible with Fedora 16 would be greatly appreciated, though. _______________________________________________ Users mailing list Users@openvz.org https://openvz.org/mailman/listinfo/users
