Well, I think the difference here is... that the original poster was
talking about trying to run the EL6-based OpenVZ kernel on an EL7
host node... that has systemd as the init system of the host node and
that having issues. Whereas Kir was talking about running the
EL6-based OpenVZ kernel on an EL6-based host node... and running a
systemd-based distro inside of a container... in this case CentOS
7.1... which does indeed work fine.

Kir, is there any estimate or timetable for supporting EL7 on the HN?
Just around the corner? A year in the future? Anything is helpful really
even if it's just a rough estimate.
A kernel working for EL7 would probably work for Debian 8 as well. So
this discussion about using an EL6 kernel for this feels kind of moot.
Not to speak of strange edge-cases you can run into then the userland
expects a newer kernel than it got..
