HelloI have got some OpenVZ 7-based systems where the default setup of the yum repositories is not as I intend it. I have the impression that during the OpenVZ 7 maintenance/update process the "factory" repository got unintentionally enabled.
The "factory" repository is defined in the file "/etc/yum.repos.d/factory.repo" which is provided by the "openvz-release" rpm package. The 7.0.5-2 release of that package (see https://download.openvz.org/virtuozzo/releases/openvz-7.0.5-432/x86_64/os/Packages/o/openvz-release-7.0.5-2.vz7.x86_64.rpm) enables the "factory" repository [while openvz-release-7.0.4-19 and openvz-release-7.0.6-5 (see https://download.openvz.org/virtuozzo/releases/openvz-7.0.4-698/x86_64/os/Packages/o/openvz-release-7.0.4-19.vz7.x86_64.rpm and https://download.openvz.org/virtuozzo/releases/openvz-7.0.6-458/x86_64/os/Packages/o/openvz-release-7.0.6-5.vz7.x86_64.rpm) do not!].
It seems that by upgrading to openvz-release-7.0.5-2 my systems left the regular (i. e. non-factory) maintenance/upgrade track and continued to use the "factory" repository. As of now, a system update using "yum update" left me with this setup (where the "factory" repository continues to be enabled):
[root@hostname yum.repos.d]# yum list installed | grep openvz-release openvz-release.x86_64 7.0.7-1.vz7 @factoryA newly installed (as of today) OpenVZ 7 system does not have the "factory" repository enabled. As a consequence the OpenVZ release is "7.0.6 (509)".
My question: How can I bring my systems back to a state as if the "factory" respository was never enabled? I'd like to bring them back to a clean state as on the newly installed OpenVZ 7 system.
I guess that simply merging the respository definitions of a newly installed OpenVZ 7 system back to the "messy" systems does not solve the problem since there are now many packages installed which are provided by one of the "factory" and "virtuozzolinux-openvz-factory" repositories.
Thanks for your help and kind regards David
