Hey Ofer,

I ran the command you specified and it said that the ovirt-engine package is
not installed. This isn’t surprising since I didn’t install this instance of
oVirt with RPMs but directly from source. Is the preferred method to build the
RPMs from source and then install oVirt through those built RPMs? Thanks for
the help!

Subject: Re: Error when running 'engine-setup'

For some reason, /etc/pki/ovirt-engine/cacert.template is missing. Is it a
fully rpm based deployment? (ovirt-engine rpm installed?)

Can you run rpm -V ovirt-engine and post the output?

if its removed for some reason, you can try to reinstall the rpm (and run
engine-cleanup). If for some really odd reason it's not in the rpm, we must
understand why.

Thanks,
Ofer.

Greetings,

I’ve run into an issue when I run ‘engine-setup’ on a compiled ovirt-engine.
The engine-setup interactive user input completes correctly but when it
attempts to create the CA Certificate it fails. This is on a fresh install of
Fedora 16. I’ve attached the engine-setup log to this message as well. If
anyone can provide assistance, it’d be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
