It’s probably unsupported, but I have found you can edit the /etc/ovirt-hosted-engine/vm.conf file to add a nic.
I duplicated the existing "devices={nicModel:pv,macAddr” line and modified the macAddr and deviceId entries. Be sure you modify this file on ALL of your ha engine hosts.
