Hi Sohail, Memory ballooning is enabled by checking the "Enable Memory Balloon Optimization" checkbox, which can keep VMs' performance. If left unchecked, any pressure on host memory may trigger swap usage inside VMs. You can leave it unchecked if you have more memory than assigned to all VMs. Consider that memory ballooning and KSM are only used when a host reaches a certain amount of memory use. They are designed to keep your hosts' and VMs' performance, avoiding bottlenecks. Even not setting an optimization policy (overcommit) for Servers or Desktops, enabling Memory Ballooning and KSM can keep your environment performance at its best.
