It has always been possible to use local storage in oVirt, you just have
to export it somehow, e.g. by using NFS.
Just a few steps to prepare the oVirt node:
- prepare the local storage directory (e.g. set proper permissions for
oVirt)
- setup a local NFS server (must be reachable by all other oVirt nodes)
- add the NFS share as new storage domain in oVirt
I've been using this approach several times, it's really that simple.
