oVirt’s “Multipath” isn’t real iSCSI MPIO. It only works when all portals are
reachable in the same L2 network, which defeats the usual design where each
path sits on its own interface/subnet. That’s why adding extra paths through
the UI feels inconsistent.

The stable approach is to expose both Ceph gateways as separate iSCSI
connections and let the host initiator handle multipath. oVirt reuses the first
connection created during HE deployment, so later storage domains inherit its
portal and credentials.
