The only ‘format’ I can think of that will be deprecated for PDF 2.0 is XFA (eXtensible Forms Architecture). There are definitely no image formats - or rather: filters - that are being deprecated. As in the past, also PDF 2.0 has been designed such that maximum backward compatibility is maintained. > On 31.03.2016, at 13:40, John Hewson <[email protected]> wrote: > > Apparently I'm wrong about this, the PDF 2.0 spec is still going through > working groups so I only hear rumours. Some things are definitely getting > deprecated, such as FDF forms! you are mixing this up - probably with XFA. FDF is meant to stay. And BTW - XFDF (and JavaScript for PDF and JavaScript 3D for PDF) are becoming their own ISO standards.
