Though I'm not sure why it's saying
Found Ruby: /usr/bin/ruby (found version "1.9.1")

When I've so say also installed ruby2.0???
When you do "/usr/bin/ruby -v" what does it report? And could it be
possible you have two version of the Ruby VM installed?

it actually says
ruby 1.9.3p484 (2013-11-22 revision 43786) [x86_64-linux]

!!??#

As I said the other day when I check with synaptic it says the following are installed:

According to Synaptic the ruby related packages I've got installed are:
ruby
rubygems-integration
ruby2.0
ruby1.9.1
libruby2.0
libruby1.9.1
ruby-dev
ruby-all-dev
ruby2.0-dev
ruby1.9.1-dev

No idea where the 1.9.3p484 comes from I've not really looked deeply at the packages to see what they *actually* contain
