failures if you have the GSSAPI mech installed.
Only if the server you are connecting to offers it as a mechanism.
Both qdrouterd and qpidd have default sasl config files that specify a
default mech list that doesn't include GSSAPI. The java broker requires
you to explicitly enable GSSAPI. Is there another commonly used server
that has GSSAPI on by default?
