So, as per the docs at
https://qpid.apache.org/releases/qpid-jms-0.56.0/docs/index.html#amqp-configuration-options
the amqp vhost needs to be set via a URL option rather than putting the
vhost in the path, so I'd assume something like

amqp://localhost:5672?amqp.vhost=tst
