Hi,

The Apache rave software allows you to create a mashup of OpenSocial
Gadgets and W3C Widgets. What these in turn provide could be social or
content or something totally different, depending on your wishes. It is
the gadgets and widgets that make the functionality of what you provided
to your users, and Rave helps you to bring together these.

Rave in itself is not a federated social project, but it can be used to
display data (profiles, groups, gadgets etc) coming from these platforms
via gadgets, like e.g. a gadget that can display the new StatusNet messages.

Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Niels
