Hi junli,

I am very glad to receive your inquiry. I will give you a short answer and help you forward the question to the community. I believe there will be more PMCs and contributors could help you.

RocketMQ does not have official .net sdk supported, it have a production proved cpp lib, any other languages could be wrapped using this lib.

Best regards, Von Gosling

Subject: Questions on RocketMQ

Hello Gents,

Greetings from across the ocean 😊.

I am evaluating Windows service bus replacement for on-premise applications. Our applications are using Windows service bus for its classic pub-sub functionality and need to be deployable on premise, secure with high performance, reliable, low latency, batching and low maintenance.

I have kind of narrowed it down to 2 candidates: Apache Pulsar and RocketMQ, since they both seems to do what we need well.  I can ask questions on Slack for anything related to Apache Pulsar, but I don’t seem to able to find a platform to get help about RocketMQ (I can read Chinese but not familiar with the computer science jargons in Chinese)

Not sure where to get answers on RocketMQ,  I am turning to you for help:

  1. Since our applications are on windows platform and in C#, just wondering if you have C# clients other than the one in Github created 2 years ago?  Are there big companies with applications on windows platform and in C# using RocketMQ as MoM? If so, do you aware of any the obstacles they have encountered?
  2. You have compared RocketMQ with Kafka and ActiveMQ. Just wondering if you have compared it with Apache Pulsar?  If so, what does RocketMQ do better than Apache Pulsar? And vice versa?

Thanks much for your help in advance,

Best,

Junli
