If you want to use the JCAFlow, I would recommend you stick with the
version of ActiveMQ that is delivered with ServiceMix. However, if you
want transactions in your JBI message flows, you can also use any
version of the broker together with the new JMS endpoints
(http://servicemix.apache.org/servicemix-jms-new-endpoints.html).
Instead of letting the container taking care of transactionality, you
can control it yourself in a much more fine-grained way using this
technique.
