As Freeman said, the 2008.01 archetypes haven't been officially released
yet, so that's why you can not find an archetype catalog for that version.
At the location you mentioned, you can find the 2008.01-SNAPSHOT
archetype catalog. You're probably best of using that one and adding
the Apache Snapshots repository url with the -DremoteRepos parameter.
