Bill, the error occured as the VFSPollingEndpoint received the DONE from the targetService the file has been sent to. In the process method there is a logic for closing the stream to the original file and to delete it afterwards. I put in a try-catch now for the stream closing to prevent the said behaviour. But I think that something happened to the original file while sending it sync to the bus. Please try with the latest trunk of the component if it fixes your problem.
