Feel free to call me a fool, but since 4.4 is not for vote by now, karaf-2.2.3 with CXF (2.4.1) is working with java7 (and maybe camel too) isn't it worth to give it at least a try? We can/and will release karaf-2.2.3 very soon (and I'm sure even earlier if required e.g. by smx). Someone has to test with the current Karaf Snapshots, Java7 and an existing project. If e.g. camel 2.8 refuses to work with java7 that will present a complete different situation at all of cause; but if it works I think 4.4 is still an option, isn't it?
