Hi Diwakar,

currently, ServiceMix 4 is mostly used as a standalone middleware: you start a Karaf OSGi container, and ServiceMix resources are deployed in this container.

We are thinking about about two new deployment options:
1/ restart the support of Tomcat (or other webcontainer) in Karaf. It means that Karaf could be available as a WAR that you can deploy in your existing WebContainer (like Tomcat). So it means, that ServiceMix would be able to deploy in the same way. 2/ depending of the OSGi coupling, we could be able to deploy ServiceMix resources directly in a WebContainer (like Tomcat).

I would prefer to focus only on 1.

Regards
JB

Hi,

          From the post:
http://servicemix.396122.n5.nabble.com/DISCUSS-Rebooting-ServiceMix-5-td4528896.html
has "Additional things that could be pushed inside ServiceMix 5 would be a
Tomcat based container deployment option"
I understand that there will be new way of deploying in Servicemix,
along with OSGi.
Is there more information on this?
          Please let me know.

With Best Regards,
Diwakar
