I think a /current/ URL would be perfect. I wouldn't release the global
javadocs monthly if they contain stuff that is not part of the released
Sling launchpad, or is that not an issue for some reason?

Would a http://sling.apache.org/apidocs/current URL that points to
automatically built trunk javadocs work for you?
As an alternative, we might release our global javadocs more
regularly, once a month maybe.
