I wanted to post to the mailing list to either bring attention to the issue or to receive some additional information about the difficulty our company ran into setting up Thunderbird / Lightning / SoGo (Connector Thunderbird extension) for syncing of Calendars and Personal/Global Address List contacts.
During our initial setup and configuration we had everything configured and setup correctly. We were receiving email properly, had our personal contacts and GAL contacts synced into separate address books (which we wanted) and were able to have the user's calendar syncing. Everything was going great so far! Now for the issue, after we had the email, contacts and the one calendar syncing our next step was to add additional shared calendars that different departments have setup and use. We followed the wizard using the Lightning add-on (using the correct webdav URL [http://mail.zzzzz.com/webdav/<u...@domain.com>/Executive%20Calendar/Events/ etc.) however the wizard would not complete the last part of the setup process and close the window. What we found out was that once the SoGo add-on was disabled, Thunderbird restarted (to apply the change), we were able to add as many webdav calendars using Lightning. After that we simply re-enabled the SoGo add-on, however this is not necessarily practical.. It works which is great, but isn't ideal. Is anyone aware of this issue regarding the SoGo Connector extension and Lightning? Any other suggested workarounds that don't require the Connector to be disabled and re-enabled? -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
