I note from an earlier answer from Wolfgang that the _quick table contains some extracted fields from the store table minus the records that are deleted. I hadn't even noticed until tonight that my calendar was blank if I went back a few months. I verified that indeed the records are still in the store table, however, since they don't have the corresponding _quick entry (most likely deleted by the Blackberry Funambol Sync) they no longer show in the calendar. Is there a way to re-generate these _quick entries without having to manually create each one?
