It is there. Everyone is supposed to use it. Nobody seems to like it. A change to follow classic unix config file style had been made a while ago, but then nobody sponsored it. YAML <http://www.yaml.org/spec/1.2/spec.html> looks like a good candidate to me. Still someone would have to program that configuration interface first.
