I can only share and understand your concerns if your installation relies on deprecated samba and openchange code. I can't provide you further help to this regards unless new packages are available or you build the environment. Fortunately you may not have to wait very long! At OpenChange, we feel embarrassed your experience with openchange server and outlook connectivity got tainted with these frustrating issues and gave you a negative opinion on the project.
