I think that I found out what the problem is. My users are stored on LDAP and they have multiple email addresses, for example:
dn: uid=joshua,ou=people,dc=example,dc=com objectClass: inetOrgPerson objectClass: organizationalPerson objectClass: person cn: Joshua Falken givenName: Joshua sn: Falken mail: joshua.fal...@example.com mail: j.fal...@example.com mail: jos...@example.com If this user receives an invitation and he is invited as "jos...@example.com" then everything works as expected, because this is the main email address and the one associated with his calendar in thunderbird/lightning. If this user receives an invitation as one of his email aliases, then the web interface can deal with it but thunderbird/lightning exhibits the behaviour that I described before. Christian, you seem to be having the same issue, are you also using multiple mail fields per user in your LDAP setup?
