Have you looked at what the content of your queue is? Is it a lot of

No, 99% look like this:

local [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I replaced the real domain with somedomain.com. It says either local or
remote.
Erm, Robert.. Are you SURE the answer is no? Because that certainly looks a
whole lot like a bounce message entry to me.
Do you verify recipients are valid before accepting mail?
If not, you'll end up generating a whole ton of bounce messages every time
you
get dictionary attacked. Those bounces will likely be undeliverable and get
stuck in your mailque.
Is there a way to check if I am validating recipients before accepting mail?
I thought the records would show the word bounce in the mail queue if it was
a bounced message.
qmail, by default, does NOT validate recipients before accepting the
mail. It accepts all mail, then bounces later. Unless you have some
patched up version, then no, you are not validating recipients. It is a
common thing for qmail users to have undeliverable bounces in the queue.
They can be safely ignored and will be removed after their queue time
expires. Or, you can look around for patches which do recipient
validation and reject the message at smtp time.
