Including sharing a bayes database (if you're using bayes)? In that case all you have to do is make sure that the user who is running spamassassin is not root and has a writable home directory. If your conjecture that procmail is running as the user "popuser" is correct, make sure that "popuser" does not have its home directory set to "/".
