Invalid date header

Hi. I got a mail with this Date header:
Date: <Mon, 28 Aug 2006 09:23:11 +0200>

which triggered this rule:
2.2 INVALID_DATE    Invalid Date: header (not RFC 2822)

What's wrong with it?  The <> ?
