If you are *not* going to use user-specific scores, bayes databases etc., run spamd with -x (--nouser-config) and possibly as a designated user, move any settings from /root/.spamassassin/user_prefs to a global configuration file, and set bayes_path to an absolute path prefix (the same goes for awl_whitelist_path if you use it).
