you looked into svndumptool, specifically its "eolfix" command?

Thanks for giving the reference. It looks pretty much like
everything I want for the task, in combination with the
'apply-autoprops' command. I'll give it a try and post back.
Trying it on a sample repository - works just as prescribed. I'll
try it on a dump from the big repos I want to fix the next week.
