It failed. The ldd of serf-1.3.9/test/test_all had multiple entries for the openssl libs. Not sure how that happened or how to fix. Going to start over with a fresh sles 11.4 install. Next build openssl. Then build serf and try to get the check working. If I can pass these hurdles then I'll continue with building svn.
