Submit doesnt tag or select when the form is submitted via ajax

Im noticing that the  @Submit doesnt tag or select anything when the
form is submitted via ajax (ie, async = true, updateComponents =
"foo", etc)..

Anyone else have this problem?

Any workarounds?
