Going back to fully-nonmanaged hibernate. My DAOs now look like
Session sess = factory.openSession();
Transaction tx = null;
try {
tx = sess.beginTransaction();
// do something.
tx.commit();
}
catch (RuntimeException e) {
if (tx != null) tx.rollback();
throw e;
}
finally {
sess.close();
}
Works just fine.
