You can just call :
public void pageBeginRender(PageEvent event) {
event.getRequestCycle().isRewinding();
}
If you need to know if something "has rewound" after the fact I think the
only logical next question is "why" ? It indicates that you are probably
attacking whatever problem you are handling the wrong way.
