I agree that an electronic online book would be ideal for many people and one day such a book might appear, who knows. But a real paper book is an important step for a framework to be widely accepted and known. It is a kind of status quo. An online book doesn't bring that status quo. This book will be very important for my work too: a big company like mine will much more likely adopt a framework if there are some decent publications on it.
I'd think this book is not so much for those people who are already using Tapestry 5 actively as it was designed to become a primer. As for how different the final version of Tapestry will be from the current version... Well, nobody knows that except of Howard, and Howard has reviewed the first four chapters of the book. He might review the remaining chapters too, I don't know.
