The problem is, that special characters used in german (like ö, ü, ä) are displayed wrong the first time i access a page (in this case i get "l?en" instead of "löschen" för example). If i do a refresh on the page or just navigate to another page all my special characters are displayed correct all over the application. My first suspicion was that this is some kind of browser problem, because the page's sourcecode is identic before and after refresh. But my browser encoding is UTF-8 in both cases which is ok. By the way i tried both firefox and ie and always get the same wrong behavior. Another point which confuses me is that we are developping more than one tapestry application and this just happens at one of them.
