Well, that's a great question, and may hilight my conceptual difficulties. 
It is my understanding that the application context is really more of a page
context and does not persist from page to page as links are clicked and
forms posted, so that context would be lost for the application as a whole,
without some contortionist mechanism to insert the context into every
generated link, etc.

Please tell me I'm missing something.
