The logger is not a service and cannot be @Injected into IOC services. You have probably seen that you can @Inject the logger into pages and components. @Inject has been extended (perhaps hijacked) for components and @Injected values can come from contributed InjectionProviders. See CommonResourcesInjectionProvider for the Logger implementation.
