At Struts website they have a FAQ about it: http://struts.apache.org/helping.html#patches The subversion repository is here: http://svn.eu.apache.org/repos/asf/tiles/framework/branches/TILES_2_1_X/ However, for your particular case, since it is a simple fix, you can write the to fix as a comment to the issue. Anyway, the patch is the preferred way because it provides the easiest way to review and commit a fix. Antonio
