All, the dev mailing list has discussed whether it is time to move the project to the Apache Attic.
Apache Tiles would still be just as available to use, and especially in this day and age with GitHub, everyone can easily fork, modify and use it regardless of whether it remains a top level project at Apache or sits in its Attic. But the Apache Software Foundation 'management' of the project would cease until a later date when an active community (3+) wished to take hold of the reins once again. Without new developers willing to contribute and help run the project, we feel the move is the appropriate thing to do. It has been mentioned at various times of the past years. If there's users out there that have been thinking about becoming more involved, or you'd like to take the opportunity to become more involved in the Apache Software Foundation side of affairs, now is the time to do so. Otherwise a vote will be posted on the dev list in a few days. regards, Mick
