Hi,
We've just installed tomcat 5.5.15 and found that admin users
cannot authenticate
to the application manager if they have a £ in their password (The
password in question started with a £ )
We're using openldap for authentication and can see the error=49 wrong
password errors in the logs.

I changed my password and can now log into the admin interface.

An Application running on the server (Meeting maker html client)
generated the following error in
catalina.log when I tried to log in using a password starting with £

java.lang.InternalError: Password (?password) corrupted by formatting:

the password ?password should read £password

Is there a lang setting I've missed somewhere? I guess there's a UTF-8
/ iso-8859-1 incompatibility?

Cheers,
         Duncan
