Hi there,

For some time, the following link has existed:

http://people.apache.org/~fhanik/jdbc-pool/jdbc-pool.html

This details a 'new' Tomcat JDBC connection pool, with a number of reasons why
this is superior to commons-dbcp

However, the standard datasource configuration page mentions that tomcat still
uses dbcp by default:

http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-7.0-doc/jndi-datasource-examples-howto.html

Is the 'new' Tomcat JBDC connection pool suitable for adoption, and is there a
timescale for making this the default pool?

Thanks, Neil
