The manager app doesn't work "with" another app: it works all by itself. A stock Tomcat should have the manager webapp running right out of the box. If you want to log in to it, you'll need to enable a realm that can do authentication. Did you read how to configure the manager's application access? http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-7.0-doc/manager-howto.html Where did you get lost in the documentation?
